Translation - which files?

Postby SrNupsen » Tue Apr 15, 2003 12:32 pm

Hi, just wondering:

Will I encounter any problems translating Coranto (that is, leaving all variables alone ofcourse, and only translating the text output). I'm thinking of limitations as to number of characters in certain messages, problems handling special characters like ø,æ,å etc.

And also: Which files do I need to go through to make my Coranto installation 100% pure Norwegian?

crlang.pl, is for the language stuff, what is used in the high level and standard level users. but if you have addons, then impossible without modifying their code if they don't support translating from files.

but... well, you can always make a prog, what will do a replace on all the words or so :P

anyway, for the special letters, use html special code, for example, & nbsp; is for a non breaking space, I don't know em all so you gotta investigate for yourself.

& aring ; / & aring ; = å/Å
& aelig ; / & Aelig ; = æ/Æ
& oslash ; / & Oslash ; = ø/Ø

Let's go :)

yup

you got the first one a bit messy, the second one should have the first letter capital, that's all.

and:

& otilde; is õ
only one I can remember, but they also have numeric codes.

and so on :)
