Spanish and Latin Characters Problem

Postby apimienta » Wed Mar 26, 2008 5:40 pm

Hi guys, I have coranto up and running Ok and everything is working fine, the only problem I have is that my site is in Spanish and the special characters are not displaying properly, I'm also using the WYSIWYG editor.

What is causing this characters not to display properly and how can I fix it? thank you very much for your time.

Alex.

Well, your site outputs iso-8859-1, and so does Coranto, so the Spanish characters should display correctly assuming they are input from a Latin-1 charset.

Maybe the problem is your wysiwyg editor. Have you tried it without?

EDIT: As a test, I pasted the Spanish Latin-1 characters into Coranto, and they display correctly. See http://ovationplayers.com/cgi-bin/coranto/viewnews.cgi?id=EkpyVZpukFLRyeuNvg&style=&tmpl= FWIW.
