How to check empty subjects?

Postby Gianni » Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:46 am

Hello, a very simple question:

Some of my posters leave empty subjects and/or text body.
Is there anyway or addon to check this (maybe via javascript) and warn the user that the particular field is empty and they have to fill it in?
Something making the field/s I specify "required"?

Check out the XMultiSubmit addon available from this page. It is very useful for a lot of things, among others you can specify which fields should be REQUIRED when submittig a news item (which is what you're after, I think).

Also note that when creating a Coranto style you can easily put in a check to see if a field is filled:

Code: Select all
<If: Field: Subject>
Yeah, subject is <Field: Subject>
<If: Else>
No subject specified!
</If>
